Relationship Between Impulsivity and Binge Eating in Japanese Adult Women: Using a Japanese Version of S‐UPPS‐P Impulsive Behavior Scale

This study investigated the relationship between impulsivity and binge eating in Japanese adult women. In Study 1, we created a version of psychological scale named Short-Urgency-Premeditation-Perseverance-Sensation Seeking-Positive Urgency (S-UPPS-P) Impulsive Behavior Scale to assess sample, confirmed good reliability validity. Then, was examined by mediating analyses, regression structural equation modeling 2. Results indicated that both negative urgency positive directly led eating. Moreover, sensation-seeking via unstructured dieting. Hence, our findings suggest has two routes One is direct route other indirect dieting behavior.
